New Delhi: Mafia gangster Dawood Ibrahim has married for the second time, a relative of Ibrahim’s revealed to the National Investigation Agency.

The revelation by son of Dawood’s sister Haseena Parkar further gave away that the underworld don married a Pakistani woman, India Today reported.

Ali Shah reportedly stated that the underworld don has not yet divorced his first wife, Mehjabeen Shaikh.

NIA earlier combed several locations, arresting many who are believed to be in touch Dawood Ibrahim’s terror network.

Subsequently, the central agency submitted a chargesheet in court on the matter, according to the report.

Ali Shah stated to the NIA, gleaned by India Today, that Dawood’s second marriage was aimed to shift focus of investigative agencies from his first wife, Mehjabeen.

It appears to be corroborated by the fact that Dawood has not yet divorced his first wife.

Ali Shah told NIA that when he met Dawood Ibrahim's first wife in July 2022, in Dubai, she revealed to him about the second marriage.

Mehjabeen Shaikh is still in touch with Dawood's relatives in India through WhatsApp calls, he said.

Ali Shah also claimed that the fugitive underworld don now stays in Karachi.

Dawood Ibrahim, who is wanted by the India for murder, extortion, drug trafficking and terrorism, heads organized crime syndicate D-Company founded in Mumbai in 1970s.

Most recently in 2020 the Indian government put on auction Dawood's six properties in his ancestral village in Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra.
