Jaipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has found Unaccounted wealth, including property and jewellery worth Rs 100 crore, from arrested the Chief Executive Officer of Bio-fuel Authority (CEO) Surendra Singh Rathore's residence, IANS reported.

Rathore was arrested on Thursday for taking Rs 5 lakh as a bribe.

The ACB informed that it had also found documents and expensive liquor from his house, subsequently registering a case under Excise Act at Jyoti Nagar police station. Director General (ACB) B.L. Soni said, "When the team went to raid his residence on Thursday, he openly threatened us, saying what can the ACB do. I have a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore," he said.

Soni said that according to the bribery case, Rathore had demanded a Rs 20 lakh bribe from the complainant on Wednesday to allow his business to run uninterrupted, plus a renewal of his license. Acting on the complaint, ACB arrested Rathore and contract worker Devesh Sharma red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh, Soni added. Four locations, including Rathore's residence, farmhouse and apartment in Jaipur, were raided. Nearly Rs 4 crore cash, and 20 property documents, including flats, shops, farmhouses, etc., were found along with four luxury vehicles such as Jaguar Land rover, Baleno, Fortuner and Mahendra Thar.

Soni said that the ACB team required a counting machine to calculate the exact amount of cash seized. Another case under the Prevention of Corruption Act was charged with the accused, Soni said.

Bio-fuel Authority is a Rajasthan government entity under the state Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department.
