Two arrested after woman gang-raped and thrown from moving van in Faridabad
text_fieldsFaridabad: Two men have been arrested in Faridabad for allegedly gang-raping a 25-year-old married woman in a moving van before throwing her onto the road. The victim, who sustained serious head injuries during the ordeal, is currently receiving medical treatment after being rescued by her sister early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred late Monday night when the woman, who had been staying at her parents' home due to marital discord, was returning from a friend's house in Sector 23. While waiting for transport, she was offered a lift by the two accused. Instead of taking her to her requested destination, the men reportedly drove the van towards Gurugram and sexually assaulted her inside the moving vehicle.
Police report that the woman was driven around through the night before being thrown out of the vehicle near Raja Chowk at approximately 3:00 am. Despite her injuries, she managed to contact her sister, who arrived at the scene and transported her to a hospital.
Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal Yadav confirmed that the two accused, who hail from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh but reside in Faridabad, have been taken into custody. "We have nabbed the accused and are questioning them. A test identification parade of the accused will be conducted soon," Yadav stated.
