TVK chief Vijay wrongly attributes Tennyson's verse to William Blake

Chennai: Vijay, the superstar-turned-politician and president of Tamil Vetri Kazhagam, quoting a verse by Alfred Lord Tennyson and wrongly attributing the lines to William has put him on the firing line of critics. Vijay had quoted Tennyson's famous lines, "Men may come, Men may go, But I go on forever", and attributed the lines to Blake.
However, he has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin. Vijay asked why PM Modi is allergic to Tamil Nadu and called CM Stalin a monarch.
Vijay, who claimed that the assembly election fight would be between DMK and TVK, clarified that he was not afraid to criticize anyone by name. Although Vijay spoke more seriously than usual, critics say that it was not enough to clear the allegations the party is facing. A section of the party held a press conference the other day and provided evidence of bribery for the appointment of a district office bearer. Posters were also circulated saying that party general secretary N Anand is the next chief minister.
