Chennai: A college student died of burn injuries after falling into a cauldron of hot rasam at a wedding in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district, police said on Monday.
The 21-year-old man fell into the cauldron in which rasam, meant to be served to the guests, was being cooked.
The victim, working part-time with a catering firm, was serving food to guests last week when the incident had occurred, they said.
The victim was admitted to a government hospital in the city with serious burns. He died on Sunday without responding to treatment.
A case has been registered and investigation was on, they added.
