A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly threatening to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several police officials. The incident unfolded when Anil dialed the emergency service number 112 and claimed that he would shoot the Chief Minister on January 26. In addition to the CM, he also threatened the station in charge of Izzatnagar police station and other officers, according to the police.

The threat was made on Tuesday night, prompting an immediate search operation by the police. However, Anil’s phone was switched off, and the police had to work overnight to track him down. After extensive efforts, Anil was located and arrested on Wednesday, said Dhananjay Pandey, the SHO of Izzatnagar Police Station.

An FIR has been registered, and Anil is currently being interrogated. He is expected to be produced in court later on Thursday, according to the police.

The threats have caused tensions in the area, raising concerns about potential communal unrest. The authorities responded quickly to prevent any escalation and maintain peace. The SHO mentioned that investigations were also underway to assess the accused's intentions and mental state.

Interestingly, earlier on Tuesday evening, Anil had filed a complaint with a local PRV team, alleging that his friend had borrowed his motorcycle and failed to return it. During the inquiry, Anil reportedly became agitated, started using abusive language, and issued death threats around 11 pm.
