‘They also touched me inappropriately’: Jawan’s wife alleges attack by a group in TN

Vellore (Tamil Nadu): A serving soldier from Tamil Nadu on Sunday alleged that a group of people partially stripped his wife alongside beating her up.
Army jawan's wife reportedly said in Vellore that she was attacked and molested by more than 40 people, according to NDTV.
‘More than 40 people attacked me. They verbally abused me, using obscene language. They also touched me inappropriately. They are not letting our family live in peace. They are threatening me,’ she was quoted as saying.
The Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan for Thiruvannamalai said an FIR was registered based on the complaint by the jawan.
‘Two of the accused -- Ramu and Hariprasad -- have already been arrested,’ the SP added.
He said preliminary investigation suggests that the incident was the fallout of a "civil dispute".
Initial probe indicates that the incident stemmed from a ‘civil dispute’, according to the officer.
The officer said that something had happened, adding only ‘a thorough probe in the next couple of days will give us a better sense of what might have happened’.
