Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid heartfelt tributes to late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary, expressing that the state government has embraced the Indiramma rule as a guiding principle.

He praised the former Prime Minister, who had declared that every drop of her blood would invigorate the nation. The Chief Minister remembered the yeoman services rendered by Indira Gandhi to the country.

"Indira Gandhi made tough decisions for integrity and unity and moved forward to strengthen the country despite knowing that her life was in danger," Reddy said in his message.

He highlighted her revolutionary decisions, including the abolition of princely states, nationalization of banks, and the 20-point program, which uplifted the poorer sections of society.

Reddy also announced that the Telangana government has adopted the Indiramma rule as a guiding principle, inspired by her commitment to the nation. The state government launched the Indiramma housing scheme to uplift the poor, a testament to her legacy.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka joined Reddy in paying tributes to Indira Gandhi, recalling her iconic words, "If I die in the service of the country, I would be proud of it."

Vikramarka praised her dedication to the country's progress and her demonstration of women's power.

On the same day, Reddy also paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. He lauded Patel as a prominent leader who unified India through the merger of princely states.

"Hundreds of Provinces are merged with India due to the initiatives and efforts put by the independent India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home minister Sardar Patel," Reddy said, urging everyone to strive hard to fulfill Patel's aspirations.

The dual tributes underscored the significance of these leaders in shaping India's history and their enduring impact on the country's development
