Tejashwi Yadav says bungalow dispute with Chirag Paswan is because of BJP support
text_fieldsPatna: Taking aim at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for evicting Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Chirag Paswan from a bungalow on Janpath that was allocated to his father, late Ram Vilas Paswan , Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader, said Saturday that the BJP set ablaze the bungalow of Hanuman.
"Ram Vilas Paswan was standing with the BJP till the last. BJP set the Bungalow of 'Hanuman' on fire. This is the consequence of supporting the BJP. They had already broken the party and separated the leaders," Mr Yadav said.
The RJD leader replied to a question about the BJP's UP model, "In Bihar, people have seen their circus model. The UP model is yet to be understood. If running a bulldozer is the UP model, then why do not they run a bulldozer on unemployment? Yogi ji should also run bulldozers on unemployment, crime, and corruption."
Despite the eviction notice being issued months earlier, LJP MP Chirag Paswan vacated the 12, Janpath bungalow on Wednesday. The bungalow had been allocated to his father, former union minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
On Thursday, the Delhi High Court ruled against a petition challenging the order of eviction of a bungalow owned by late MP Ram Vilas Paswan's son. The bungalow had been occupied by the Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan after Ram Vilas Paswan died .
According to officials, the Directorate of Estates (DoE) issued an eviction order last year with multiple reminders.
The 12 Janpath main gate also has a bust of Ram Vilas Paswan.
Ashwini Vaishnaw was allotted the bungalow in August last year after Ram Vilas Paswan passed away in October 2020.
Officials said Chirag Paswan has already received an MP-reserved flat.
