Chennai: Early trends in Tamil Nadu show INDIA bloc leading in 13 seats in the state as counting is underway across 39 constituencies.

At the time of reporting, trends keep changing with Dayanidhi Maran of the DMK alliance gaining an early lead in postal votes in Chennai Central constituency.

Giving hope to the NDA, BJP’s Nainar Nagendran has a slight edge in Tirunelveli among early trends.

It is reported that in Coimbatore, the DMK Ganapathi P is leading ahead of BJP’s star candidate and state chief K Annamalai.

Tamil Nadu reported a voter turnout of 69.72 percent in the Lok Sabha election held in a single phase on April 19.

BJP leader K Annamalai openly stated several times that NDA will make major inroads in the state; however, the early trends shows the alliance reeling behind INDIA bloc.

The exit polls predicted the NDA to win four seats in the state while DMK to gain resounding victory leaving AIADMK in the second position.

The BJP did not get a single seat in Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
