Swiggy introduces ‘fasting mode’ for Ramzan, festive fasts

Hyderabad: Swiggy has introduced an industry-first ‘fasting mode,’ allowing users to pause food delivery notifications during fasting hours for Ramzan and other religious observances.
Designed to enhance user experience, the feature reflects Swiggy’s commitment to customer-centric innovations. It will be available throughout the year for various fasting periods, including Navratri and other religious fasts.
Once activated, the fasting mode will automatically pause food notifications between Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and 4 PM during Ramzan, resuming them after fasting hours without requiring manual intervention. Users can enable or disable the feature easily within the app.
After fasting hours, Swiggy will highlight top dishes and special Ramzan meals with discounts. A similar approach will be followed for other festive fasts, ensuring a personalized experience for users observing religious traditions.
