Thiruvananthapuram: The survivor of the 2017 kidnapping and sexual assault case has written to the Kerala Chief Minister and the state police chief expressing her concerns over the latest turn of events in the case involving actor Dileep.

The development comes following the revelations by filmmaker Balachandrakumar, who had claimed that he had seen 'Pulsar' Suni, one of the accused in the case, at the residence of Dileep in Aluva.

In the letter, the survivor is said to have pointed out the director's charges and urged the government to order reinvestigation to bring out the truth. She is also learnt to have expressed concern about the resignation of the second special public prosecutor in the case

In February 2017, the survivor also a popular female actor was allegedly molested in a moving car. Actor Dileep was arrested a few days later on the allegation that he had orchestrated the attack as a personal vendetta by paying a hefty sum to Pulsar Suni, a driver patronised by several actors. The attack was filmed so that the tape could be used to blackmail her.

Last week during the hearing, the prosecution also sought a fresh probe into the scathing allegations by Balachandra Kumar.

He further accused Dileep of watching the tape of the assault at his residence with a group of friends before it was produced as evidence before the court and has submitted the audio recordings from the actor's house, including alleged attempts to influence key witnesses.

The Supreme Court has given a deadline of February 16 to finish the hearing.

The first Special Public Prosecutor had quit just days after the Kerala High Court rejected the survivor's plea to change the trial court judge.

The court proceedings cannot be reported as the trial is in-camera, with media not allowed to report the inside court proceedings.
