Pre-poll survey shows that the Left will continue in Kerala

New Delhi: ABP-C voter survey says there is a possibility of continuity of the government in Kerala. According to the survey, the Left will get 85 seats in the 140 - member assembly. In 2016, the Pinarayi government came to power with a majority of 91 seats.

The poll was jointly conducted by the ABP Network and C-Voter. The Left polled 41.6 per cent, the United Democratic Front 34.6 per cent and the BJP 15.3 per cent. According to the survey, Pinarayi Vijayan (47 per cent) is twice as popular as Oommen Chandy among the people (22 per cent).

In Bengal, the Trinamool is leading, in Tamil Nadu the UPA, in Puducherry and Assam the NDA. The survey was conducted over a 12-week period in October-December.

In Kerala, 6,000 people took part in the survey. LDF got 41.6% of the vote, 81-89 seats, UDF with 34.6% of the vote, 49-57 seats, the BJP with 15.3% of the vote, 0-2 seats; Others won 8.5% of the vote, 0-2 seats. Pinarayi Vijayan is the most suitable candidate for the Chief Minister's post, says 46.7%, followed by Oommen Chandy with 22.3% and Shailaja Teacher as Health Minister (6.3%).

In Bengal, the forecast showed the Trinamool with 43% of the vote, 154-163 seats, the BJP with 37.5% of the vote, 98-106 seats, and the Congress-Left alliance 11.8% of the vote, 26-34 seats. For the Chief Minister post, Mamata Banerjee got support of 49%, Dilip Ghosh 19% and Sourav Ganguly 13%.

In Tamil Nadu the poll showed these: the UPA - 41.1% of the vote, 158 - 166 seats, the NDA - 28.7% of the vote, 60-68 seats. MK Stalin was supported by 36.4% for the CM post. EK Palaniswamy was supported by 25.5%.
