New Delhi: BJP’s lone MP from Kerala, Suresh Gopi, will join the Cabinet of the Modi 3.0 administration after the PM called him early on Sunday.

PM Modi and Amit Shah both made calls to the actor, who was at first hesitant to accept the position since he had pending movies.

"PM decided, I am obeying him. I don't know what awaits me," Suresh Gopi told media persons before leaving for Delhi, the New Indian Express reported.

"His induction merits attention because the PM wants to give representation to Kerala in view of the coming assembly elections there," a senior leader from the South said.

It is also anticipated that Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who ran Shashi Tharoor close, will remain in the Modi 3.0 administration.

K Annamalai, the president of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, is expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony and could be appointed to the Cabinet.

One berth in the Cabinet and one as a Minister of State (MoS) have been offered to TDP.

According to reports, the TDP has chosen to consider BC leader and Srikakulam MP K Ram Mohan Naidu for a Cabinet position because of his hat-trick victory in the polls.

The other TDP minister is probably Daggumalla Prasada Rao, the MP for Chittoor.

In the next expansion, they may be offered one or two more berths as Minister of State.
