Chennai: A helicopter carrying Yoga guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar made an emergency landing in Erode here following bad weather.

Official said that the chopper immediately took off after a quick security check and there was no reports of injuries.

Erode Collector MR H Krishnanunni said everybody onboard including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was safe.

A video emerged from the site showed Sri Sri Ravi Shankar standing near the chopper chatting with the locals who turned up there.

The Art of Living foundation stated that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was heading to Kumbhabhishekham at Sri Brihannayaki Ambika Sametha Sri Andhra Kapaleeshwarar Swamy Temple in Tiruppur district when the chopper required an emergency landing, NDTV reported.
