Mysore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said that political power comes only with ideological clarity, adding that he will not ever join the BJP no matter even if he is offered prime ministership, news agency ANI reported.

Siddaramaiah told a gathering of SC-ST activists and leaders here, campaigning for Lok Sabha candidate M. Laxman, that people should not fall for BJP-RSS and stressing further he said Shudras-Dalits and women are not allowed inside the RSS sanctum sanctorum.

‘Deve Gowda, who had said that he would leave the country if Modi became the Prime Minister, is now saying that he has an inseparable bond with Modi. He also said that politicians should have ideological clarity,’ Siddaramaiah was quoted as saying.

Calling reservations not alms, the chief minister said the BJP and RSS do not like it as they are against social justice, adding he said reservations should exist as long as caste systems exists in society.

"Before independence and the British period, did we, the Shudras have the right to study?’ Siddaramaiah reportedly asked.

He told the gathering that the BJP aims at bringing back Manusmrithi through amending the Constitution and thus also the prohibited practice of Sathi, where a woman immolates herself immediately after her husband’s death, inspired by manusmrithi.

Siddaramaiah claimed BJP leaders like Nanje Gowda and BJP leader Gulihatti Shekhar to have said that they were not allowed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the RSS and the CM said Shudras are just being used and he called upon Shudras, Dalits and women not to join RSS.
