Shrikant Tyagi's wife accuses BJP MP of issuing death threats
text_fieldsNoida: Shrikant Tyagi's wife Anu Tyagi claimed through a video that she was facing death threats from BJP MP Mahesh Sharma. Shrikant, who has affiliations to BJP as per The Indian Express, was booked in a case of publicly abusing a woman and was charged under the Gangster Act. However, BJP had said that Shrikant has no affiliation with BJP.
Anu Tyagi had levelled similar allegations against Mahesh Sharma earlier as well. She accused BJP leader Mahesh of creating a divide in the society and sought protection for herself.
On August 9, Shrikant Tyagi, along with three others, were arrested from Meerut, days after a video surfaced on social media, which went viral, where Tyagi was seen abusing a woman at the Grand Omaxe Society here in Sector 93-B.
Meanwhile, the Tyagi community initiated protests in Meerut and other places, demanding a meeting between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Anu Tyagi, alleging that state police have been harassing Tyagi.
Days ago, a nine membered Samajwadi Party team met Anu Tyagi at her Noida residence.
However, Mahesh Sharma has not reacted to the videos and the allegations so far.
