Several VVIPs call on Lata Mangeshkar over a critical issue

The health condition of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar deteriorated again on Saturday, forcing her to return to ventilator support for a second time after ten days.

Lata, 92, has responded again to ongoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital since she was taken off her ventilator on January 27.

In addition to Asha Bhosale, Usha Mangeskar, and their sole brother, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, other members of the Mangeshkar family are present at the hospital.

A string of VVIPs, including Rashmi Thackeray, the wife of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray, film personalities like Madhur Bhandarkar, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, BJP leader M.P. Lodha, and others visited the hospital to enquire after her health.

After experiencing various health issues, including Covid-19, Lata was admitted to the hospital on January 9 and has remained there for almost four weeks.

According to Raj Thackeray, he went specifically to the hospital to discuss her condition with medical personnel and dispel rumours that have been rampant since this afternoon.
