Lakhimpur Kheri (UP): Since Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) only built boundary walls for 'Kabaristans' (cemetery) as development, they should seek votes from there, Yogi Adithyanath attacked the parties on Sunday. At a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri, he compared the ruling BJP government's development works with the previous SP government, Asian News International reported.

The UP Chief Minister claimed that SP stopped the pension scheme for the elderly, but his government-issued Rs 12,000 pension to the age group. BJP government does development works with the vision 'Sabka Saath Sabke Viskas', he said.

He reminded the audience that his government had provided ration twice during the Cold-19 pandemic. The government also provided electricity, but all these were done without mattering religion and without discrimination. The BJP government consider the 25 crore UP population as a single-family, and it sees it as a duty to be with them at their happiness and sorrow, he said.

Adityanth promised UP people that if BJP is elected back to power, his government will provide free travel for women aged above 60 incorporation buses.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged that he would not leave the perpetrators of Ahmedabad Blasts unpunished, even if they hide in the 'Paatal' world. Addressing a campaign rally at Hardoi in the state, he slammed SP accusing the party of supporting terrorists, claiming that the previous SP government had withdrawn many cases against terrorists. Making a reference to SP's election symbol, bicycle, Modi took a major dig on the party, saying that bombs were kept on bicycles in the initial blasts, and he wonders why.

UP goes for polls in seven phases, and the 3rd one went on Sunday. The remaining four phases are scheduled for February 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. The counting is scheduled for March 10.
