New Delhi: The CBI's findings in its status report on the rape-murder of a trainee doctor at the RG Kar hospital in Kolkata concerned the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the court said, though it did not divulge the specifics of the report.

“What you are flagging is of utmost concern. CBI has flagged it for us. We are ourselves disturbed by what we have read,” the court told a lawyer who claimed discrepancies in the seizure list and a sketch of the crime scene.

Additionally, a letter sent by the deceased's father was shared. It conveyed the parents' sincere worries, the bench informed, the New Indian Express reported.

“Bearing in mind the genuine concerns, we are of the opinion that the inputs be duly taken by the investigating officer,” it said.

The West Bengal government, for its part, reaffirmed that junior doctors who report for duty will not face any consequences. The protesting junior doctors added that they would not have any difficulties in returning to work provided the measures to boost trust that they and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee agreed upon during their discussion on Monday are implemented. Senior counsel Kapil Sibal's motion to prevent live streaming the court proceedings was denied by a three-judge panel chaired by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud. Sibal said that lawyers' reputations are being harmed and destroyed.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta brought up Wikipedia's unwillingness to take down the victim's name and image during the hearing. Subsequently, the bench directed the social networking platform to remove it right away. The West Bengal Health Secretary filed an affidavit with the court outlining the actions done to modernise the CCTV cameras, duty rooms, and toilet facilities in the state's government hospitals and medical institutions.

“In areas where women rest at night in RG Kar, why cannot they have biometric access? The women who go to the seminar hall to rest can have biometric access,” it said.
