Mumbai: NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede's sister Yasmeen Wankhede lodged a complaint at Mumbai's Oshiwara police station on Wednesday, requesting for an FIR is filed against NCP leader Nawab Malik for allegedly defaming her.

She has also mailed a copy of her complaint to the National Commission for Women (NCW).

"Request to take cognizance of my grievances so as to safeguard my constitutional rights as a woman with a further request to take appropriate steps to deal with the named accused in accordance with the law, including issuing the appropriate directions to the concerned Police Station to register C.R. (F.I.R.) against Mr Nawab Malik," she wrote in her two-page complaint.

Yasmeen also claimed that she was being stalked online and the minister was illegally distributing to media persons her personal photographs posted on her social media handles like Instagram and Facebook, according to the complaint filed recently.

Sameer Wankhede is in the eye of a political storm following allegations of extortion in the high-profile cruise drugs case in which actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested. The officer is facing the departmental vigilance probe.

In his attacks, the minority affairs minister of Maharashtra has also mentioned Yasmeen Wankhede. He alleged that Fletcher Patel, one of the witnesses to the NCB raid on October 2 that led to the arrest of Aryan Khan and seven others from Mumbai's International Cruise Terminal, has links with her.

Malik has repeatedly termed the cruise drugs case as "fake" and levelled a string of allegations against Sameer Wankhede, including illegal phone tapping and forging documents to secure job.

The NCB official has denied any wrong-doing.
