Sachin Pilot’s election affidavit reveals he and Sara Abdullah are divorced
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Congress leader and former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and his wife Sara Abdullah have separated after nearly two decades of marriage, reveals his election affidavit for the upcoming Rajasthan polls.
Pilot, 46, filed his nomination for the upcoming assembly polls from the Tonk assembly constituency on Tuesday. He reportedly mentioned “divorced” in the column seeking details of the spouse.
This is the first time that Pilot, 46, has disclosed his separation from Sara Abdullah, who is the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah.

Sachin Pilot and Sara Abdullah Pilot got married in 2004. According to reports, the two met while pursuing their higher education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
They have two sons, Aaran and Vehaan. In his affidavit, Pilot mentioned that both his sons are his dependents.
The affidavit also shows that Pilot's wealth has almost doubled in the last five years. In 2018, his total assets were valued at approximately Rs 3.8 crore. By 2023, that had risen to reach an estimated value of Rs 7.5 crore.
Polling for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly will be held on November 25 and results will be announced on December 3.
