New Delhi: Not Sonia Gandhi but the BJP leader Vasundhara Raje is seemingly the leader of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, said congress leader Sachin Pilot.

Sachin Pilot’s attack against his party rival Gehlot comes a day before the Congress is fighting a critical election in Karnataka.

Sachin Pilot, while claiming not willing to quit party over not to ruin its chances in the Rajasthan assembly polls, has announced a march from Ajmer to Jaipur to highlight corruption.

However, Pilot said that his ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ was not against anyone( meaning Gehlot) but corruption.

Last week Ashok Gehlot said former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje helped save his government when Sachin Pilot revolted in 2020 along with a few MLAs.

Responding to the statement, Pilot said the Chief Minister's speech in Dholpur made him think that not Sonia Gandhi but Vasundhara Raje is his leader.

Gehlot told a rally on Sunday that Vasundhara Raje and two other BJP leaders helped save his government when money was given to MLAs to cross over to the BJP.

Pilot accused Gehlot of insulting his own MLAs, adding that ‘I now understand why no action was taken against corruption by the Vasundhara Raje government despite my repeated requests.’

Pilot justified the 2020 revolt claiming that MLAs wanted a leadership change in Rajasthan.
