New Delhi: Denis Manturov, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, will visit India starting November 11 to attend the Russian-Indian Business Forum and co-chair the 25th session of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC).

The visit highlights efforts to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations between Russia and India. Manturov will participate in the plenary session of the Russian-Indian Business Forum in Mumbai tomorrow, where key areas of cooperation such as industrial collaboration, transport, logistics, finance, digital technologies, and regional connections will be discussed. The forum, organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and FICCI, aims to foster stronger business ties between the two nations.

Last year's forum addressed global economic shifts, investment opportunities, and the need for increased Indian investment in sectors like pharmaceuticals. It also highlighted the importance of the ruble-rupee payment mechanism and the challenges of customs regulations.

Following the forum, Manturov will travel to New Delhi for the IRIGC-TEC meeting on November 12, co-chaired with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. This session serves as the highest-level forum for economic cooperation, covering trade, scientific, technological, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Manturov’s visit includes several bilateral meetings aimed at further strengthening Russia-India relations across various sectors.
