RSS workers are imported to UP to create trouble during elections: Akhilesh
text_fieldsLucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged that RSS workers from other parts of India are being sent to villages in Uttar Pradesh to create trouble at election booths. He added that the goal is to hinder the electoral process.
He issued a statement saying that the BJP is creating conspiracies at the election booths and the party does not respect the constitution. "It is conspiring to cheat democracy by adopting unfair practices during elections," he added.
He noted that the BJP is afraid that the Samajwadi Party enjoys massive support in Uttar Pradesh and wants to destroy the sanctity of the democratic system. Yadav alleged that the BJP government has created anarchy in the state and committed a great sin by hindering development.
He recounted the recent arrest of a 24-year-old man for allegedly hacking into the Commission's website and creating hundreds of fake voter IDs and called it a "very serious matter". The SP leader said that the BJP-led state government has made fairness and transparency of the Election Commission "questionable".
The former chief minister said that leaders and workers of opposition parties are also being harassed by the BJP government. He pointed out that the women and farmers are suffering due to the economy. He claimed that in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the BJP will be wiped out with the support of the people.
