Nagpur: In a recent address at the 'bhoomi pujan' ceremony of a new project of the Gorakshan Sabha, Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Suresh alias Bhaiyyaji Joshi underscored the universal significance of cow protection.

Joshi, who serves as an executive committee member of the RSS and is a former general secretary, lamented the need to educate people about the vital role of cow preservation in India.

Highlighting the historical context, Joshi noted that efforts in "gorakshan" (cow protection) date back to 1888 when individuals recognized the importance of safeguarding these gentle creatures. He went on to express his concern about the necessity of advocating for cow protection in contemporary India.

He delved into the agricultural aspect, stressing that there is no factory capable of producing grains, vegetables, and fruits. He explained that traditional agricultural practices, informed by centuries of knowledge, highlight the inadequacy of chemical fertilizers in nourishing soil.

He asserted that India's historical shift towards increasing food grain production through intensive farming now poses a threat to the environment, and the cow emerges as a solution to this predicament.

"All the research that is going on over cow indicates that its protection is very important for human life. And it is applicable to Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and applicable to India, America, and all other places, because nature is the same everywhere, even if countries are separated by borders," Joshi reiterated.

The RSS leader further argued that the conservation of land is intrinsically linked to ending the atrocities it has endured, emphasizing that everything, including 'gomata,' contributes to the well-being and nourishment of human life. Joshi concluded by reiterating that the survival of cows is essential for the survival of human beings, regardless of their religious or national affiliation.
