Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot reads old budget in the assembly amid uproar

Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot made a laughing stock of himself in the Assembly by reading out from an old budget on Friday.
Ashok Gehlot was presenting the state’s budget for the current year when he goofed up.
He went ahead reading for several minutes before he was brought to senses by his colleague Mahesh Joshi.
The Assembly proceedings were disrupted during the budget presentation after the Opposition BJP stormed into the House, according to India Today.
In the thick of the uproar, BJP leader Gulab Chand Kataria was heard saying "This budget cannot be presented”, before asking, “Was it leaked?”
Gehlot read out old schemes and urban development plans from the last year’s budget.
At which point, Congress leader Mahesh Joshi alerted Gehlot who apologized for the mistake.
However, the Assembly was adjourned for 30 minutes after Opposition created noisy scenes.
