New Delhi: Four days and 40 hours—Rahul Gandhi has been through too much of a grilling.
The Congress leader left ED office after hours of questioning past midnight on Monday.
He had to appear again before the agency in the National Herald case on Tuesday.
Rahul arrived at 11.05 am at the ED office on AJP Abdul Kalam Road for the fourth day of questioning on Monday.
During the 12 hours of questioning, he took an hour's break in the afternoon.
He was back in the office at 4.45 pm before being quizzed until 12.30 am.
He was first questioned on June 13 and on Friday he wanted to spend time with his ailing mother. So the questioning for the day got deferred.
The Congress has been up in arms since Rahul Gandhi was begun questioned, which the party called a vendetta by Modi administration.
The BJP retorted that Modi was questioned for nine hours in the Gujarat riot cases.
At least 1,000 people were killed during the riots, which had taken place when he was the Chief Minister of the state.
Rahul Gandhi is facing ED's questions over a case of money-laundering.
He was reportedly asked about the incorporation of the Young Indian, operations of the National Herald and the loan offered by the party to the newspaper's publisher Associated Journals Limited(AJL).
The Congress has denied any wrongdoing, pointing out that Young Indian Private Limited is a non-profit company.
The party accused Modi administration of "misusing" investigative agencies to target opposition leaders.
