Bengaluru: South Indian actor Prakash Raj, known for his outspoken nature and frequent involvement in controversies, has once again found himself at the centre of a social media storm with a critical post of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the X platform.

In the now-viral post, Prakash Raj shared an image of Prime Minister Modi carrying a file to the parliament, with the caption, "Daily Quiz since 2014: Tell me what's EMPTY... the folder he is carrying... the pocket he's fingering... or the Brain... #justasking." The image in question showed the Prime Minister seemingly carrying an empty file, devoid of any visible documents.

Prakash Raj's tweet quickly garnered attention and sparked a barrage of hostile responses, with many individuals condemning the actor for resorting to harsh and derogatory criticism of the nation's Prime Minister.

The post reignited the ongoing debate surrounding the political and social climate in India.

This is not the first time Prakash Raj has found himself embroiled in controversy due to his social media posts. In a previous instance, he faced significant backlash for a tweet related to India's ambitious lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3.

In the controversial post, he shared a caricature of a man pouring tea and wrote, "First picture coming from the Moon by #VikramLander Wowww #justasking." Many individuals perceived this as mocking the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which is deeply intertwined with the national pride of India.

Following the backlash, an FIR was filed against the actor in connection with the tweet. However, Prakash Raj later clarified that his comments were intended as a joke. He stated, "Hate sees only Hate...I was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times celebrating our Kerala Chaiwala - which Chaiwala did the Trolls see? If you don't get a joke, then the joke is on you... GROW UP #justasking."
