New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Imam Hussain on the solemn occasion of "Ashura," the 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram.

Muslims worldwide, especially Shias, remember the sacrifices of Imam Hussain on this day, as he valiantly fought for justice and human dignity during the historic Battle of Karbala.
