Losing a death certificate will be quite headachy. It takes long for explaining the authorities how it is lost and where it is lost, in order to get a copy of it again.
In the event of losing your death certificate, you had better place an advertisement in a newspaper as this dead man from Assam has done.
As you read this you must be wondering if the man who placed the advertisement in the newspaper is dead.
How can somebody get a death certificate unless the person is dead in the first place?
So we can't help assuming that the man is dead and gone but he lost his death certificate somewhere—perhaps on his way to either hell or heaven.
Now that he is aware of the missing certificate, he has placed this advertisement, requesting the readers of the newspaper to help him find it out.
This is not a joke but a reality at least reportedly, because a copy of the advertisement has been posted on Twitter by none other than Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Rupin Sharma on Sunday, according to a report in NDTV.
The advertisement says: "I have lost my death certificate at Lumding Bazar (in Assam) dated 07/09/22. Morning time near about 10 AM. Registration number 93/18 SL No: 00 68132 Ranjith Kumar Chakraborty".
The advertisement mentioned the registration and the serial number of the lost certificate, as well as giving the name of his father.
Sharma captioned this hilarious post: "It happens only in India,"
The advertisement has left the netizens in the buzz. Many on Twitter wanted to know should they reach out the dead man in heaven or hell if they happened to come across the certificate
One user requested people to treat it as an urgent case or else the ghost will get angry.
A fourth comment said that first time someone lost his death certificate.
Please get the certificate to him forthwith if you come across it—double quick!
