Petrol, Diesel Price Today: Fuel prices in India, especially across all the metropolitan cities, are touching an all-time high each day. Today, the petrol and diesel prices have risen again for the seventh straight day, pinching the pocket of the common man.

In the national capital, petrol prices crossed the ₹ 104-mark as they were hiked by 30 paise from ₹ 104.14 per litre to cost ₹ 104.44 per litre, while diesel rates were hiked by 35 paise from ₹ 92.82 to cost ₹ 93.17, according to Indian Oil Corporation.

In Mumbai, petrol prices crossed the ₹ 110-mark after rates were hiked by 29 paise to cost ₹ 110.41 per litre, while diesel rates were hiked by 37 paise to cost ₹ 101.03 per litre. Among the four metro cities, fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai, according to the state-run oil refiner. Fuel rates vary across the states due to value-added tax or VAT.

State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise the fuel rates on a daily basis, by taking into account the crude oil prices in the international markets, and the rupee-dollar exchange rates. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.

Globally, Brent climbed 25 cents to $82.64, while U.S. crude rose 41 cents to $79.76 per barrel.
