Noida man shoots manager for firing 6 months ago, his condition critical
text_fieldsNoida: A manager of a Business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida has been taken to critical care after being shot by his former employee.
Sadrul Islam, the Circle Head of BPO, NSB sustained injury in the chest and his condition remains critical, according to NDTV.
Anoop Singh who shot at Islam served as a data entry operator at NSB, a BPO in Noida Sector 2.
Singh, a resident of Delhi's Ashok Nagar, was fired by Sadrul Islam over his poor conduct at the workplace six month ago.
Singh had approached Islam a month ago asking for his job back which Islam turned down.
An argument broke out between them on Wednesday evening after Singh entered Islam’s office.
In the mist of the altercation, Singh pulled out a firearm and allegedly shot at Islam, causing severe injury in the chest.
Islam was rushed to a hospital where he remains critical, reports say.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ashutosh Dwivedi, said the police were called about a shooting at an office in Sector 2, Noida.
Police are looking for Singh who has been at large since the incident.
