Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday laughed at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying that he was pleading to become the prime ministerial candidate.

Ravi Shankar Prasad added that Kumar’s dream will not come true because the people of the country believe in PM Modi, according to NDTV.

Whether it is Nitish Kumar or other leader, they should know that the country has progressed significantly under the leadership of PM Modi, Prasad told ANI.

‘Nitish Kumar has requested and pleaded to make him the prime ministerial candidate while he is unable to manage the state of Bihar,’ he said.

Prasad said that Nitish Kumar was not able to build political credibility, and manage Bihar, and the state is in trouble alongside there is chaos in his party.

Meanwhile, Union Rural Development Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh on January 18 attacked Kumar saying the leader is ‘desperate to become prime minister’.

Giriraj Singh told ANI that Nitish Kumar could not develop Bihar for 17 years.

The criticism by BJP leaders apart, the Bihar Chief Minister previously denied any intention of becoming the PM.

Giriraj Singh was reacting to Tejashwi Yadav's statement that atmosphere of the country changed where those speak against BJP will be raided, character assassinated and sent to jail.

Giriraj Singh retorted that fixing the law and order situation of Bihar could be the biggest achievement.
