NIRF ranking: IIT Madras tops the chart fourth year in a row
text_fieldsNEW DELHI: The 2022 National Institutional Ranking Framework was released on Friday by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In the overall category, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has been ranked first for the fourth consecutive year, followed by IISc Bengaluru in the second spot and IIT Bombay ranked third.
According to the report, the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bengaluru has been named the best university. Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia came at the second and third spots respectively.
The best Engineering college was IIT Madras followed by IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay.
Jamia Hamdard bagged the top rank among the pharmacy institutions. The second rank in this category was given to the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad while Panjab University, Chandigarh has been ranked third.
In the category of the best colleges, five among the first ten colleges are from Delhi with Miranda House topping the chart. Hindu College was the second rank while Presidency College in Chennai is at the third spot.
The best medical College is AIIMS Delhi followed by PGIMER, Chandigarh and CMC, Vellore.
