New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a series of raids at 31 locations across Punjab and Haryana to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy behind the attack on the High Commission of India in London, which occurred on March 19.

The attack involved about 50 individuals who committed various offenses, including criminal trespass, disrespect to the Indian National flag, damage to public property, and causing injuries to officials of the High Commission.

In its efforts to expose the larger conspiracy behind the London attack, the NIA conducted massive raids in several districts of Punjab, including Moga, Barnala, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, SBS Nagar, Amritsar, Mukhtsar, Sangrur, Patiala, and Mohali. Searches were also conducted in Sirsa, Haryana.

During these raids, the NIA seized digital data containing crucial information related to the accused individuals involved in the attack on the High Commission, as well as other incriminating documents and evidence.

The NIA is trying to identify those responsible for the London attack, including perpetrators, their associates, and supporters, both within India and abroad. The anti-terror agency has been conducting extensive investigations to prevent any further breach of security, disrespect to the Indian National Flag, or threats to Indian interests abroad.

The attack on the High Commission in London was carried out by a group led by individuals such as Gurcharan Singh and Dal Khalsa, along with Avtar Singh Khanda of KLF, Jasvir Singh, and several others, including Indian and foreign nationals. The NIA has been actively investigating the incident and gathering information to identify those involved.

In May 2023, a team of NIA investigators visited the UK to further probe the attack. The agency also engaged in crowdsourcing of information to identify and collect details about UK-based entities and individuals involved in the incident, which aided in identifying many of the attackers.
