New Cabinet for Odisha including three women legislators
text_fieldsBhubaneswar: A new cabinet was sworn in in Odisha on Sunday after all 20 state ministers resigned to pave the way for a cabinet reshuffle.
Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath of office and secrecy to 13 MLAs, including BJD MLAs Jagannath Saraka, Niranjan Pujari and RP Swain, at a function held at the new convention center at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, according to the New Indian Express.
The inclusion of three women legislators, Prameela Mallik, Usha Devi and Tukuni Sahu, could also be seen in the cabinet.
According to BJD sources, Saraka, a tribal leader known was sworn in first as he is named after Lord Jagannath.
On Saturday, Odisha Assembly Speaker S N Patro had also resigned from his post but did not give any reason for doing so.
