The Narcotics Control Bureau has claimed that sanitary napkins were used by a woman to smuggle drugs aboard the Cordelia cruise ship on October 2. A video tweeted by ANI allegedly shows the napkins themselves being peeled apart to reveal the drugs cache. The tweet was later removed.

The drugs bust has had far-reaching consequences on Bollywood circles, with the NCB having questioned Shah Rukh Khan's driver yesterday as well as summoning producer Imtiyaz Khatri for questioning. Khatri, who is also alleged to have provided the late Sushant Singh Rajput with drugs, apeared at the NCB headquarters in Mumbai yesterday after a raid on his office and residence.

A Mumbai Magistrate court had on Thursday sent Aryan Khan and seven others to judicial custody for 14 days.

Satish Maneshinde, the lawyer arguing in defence of Aryan Khan had earlier said in the Court, "Accused number 1, Aryan Khan was invited for the cruise party. However, he did not have a boarding pass. He didn't have any seats or cabins there. Secondly, according to the seizure, nothing has been found in his possession. He is arrested only based on chats."
