Mumbai: Thousands of commuters have been stuck after an over-head-electric (OHE) wire was snapped near Borivali station here on Monday morning.
Most of the suburban trains along Mumbai's lifeline tracks that ferry 85-lakh passenger a day came to a halt in the southern direction.
Quoting an eyewitness IANS reported trains were stuck in both directions in the Western Railway from around 6:15 am.
After trains ground to a halt, passengers including women got off the trains, hiking to nearest station Dahisar or Borivali where they were waiting for the train to start services.
Many others trudged to Borivali and then took a BEST bus to reach his destination in Bandra after a huge delay.
