Mother leaves child tied up on hot roof for not doing homework

New Delhi: A video of a child being tortured by sunning her on a rooftop with arms and legs tied up went viral in Delhi on Wednesday prompting police to initiate probe.
The five-year-old child was seen abandoned on the roof of a house under scorching sun.
With hands and legs are tied up with a rope, the child was seen writhing to free herself as she screamed.
Police were all out to track down the family that met out cruel punishment to a child.
Police initially suspected the video might be from Karawal Nagar locality here.
Later they were given information that it was from Khajuri Khas area.
It turned out that it was "punishment" given by the mother, who told the police that she had punished the child only for 5-7 minutes for not having completed the school homework.
The 25-second video was believed to be shot from a nearby house.
