Moose Wala case: Pune Police to grill Lawrence Bishnoi
text_fieldsPune: Lawrence Bishnoi, believed to be the mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who is under custody, will be grilled by a team of Pune rural police. The Pune police have travelled to the national capital for the same, PTI reported citing a senior official's account.
It was on Wednesday that Delhi Police claimed that Bishnoi was the mastermind of Sidhu Moose Wala's murder.
Bishnoi's interrogation is to shed some light on the whereabouts of Santosh Jadhav, a member of the Bishnoi gang and one of the accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, who is absconding at present. The police also want to know whether any other Maharashtran youth has been working with the Bishnoi gang.
The accused Santosh Jadhav has been identified as one of the teams who shot Moose Wala. Jadhav is also accused in a separate case in Pune, and the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been invoked against him on the same.
Meanwhile, in addition to the Pune team, three more teams are in pursuit of Jhadav.
IN the meantime, a team of Punjab Police landed in Pune rural police headquarters and grilled 'Mahakal' alias Siddhesh Kamble, who is alleged to be one among the Bishnoi gang and has connections to the Moose Wala murder.
Sidhesh kamble was on Pune Police's wanted list and also had stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) over him for alleged sheltering of Santosh Jhadav. A murder case is also on him, registered at Manchar police station in Pune in 2021.
Further, the Mumbai Police on Thursday claimed that three members of the Bishnoi gang threatened Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father through a letter in an attempt to extort money from them. Police added that the attempt was part of gangster Vikram Brar's plan. They said that Kamble revealed the same during interrogation on Moose Wala's murder.
