Modis favourite agency has dispatched love letter: Raghav Chadha on ED notice to AAP

New Delhi: Addressing a press conference, AAP spokesperson Raghav said that ED has issued a notice to the Arvind Kejriwal-led Amm Aadmi party's national secretary Pankaj Gupta under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and summoned him for questioning on September 22

Taking a dig at the Narendra Modi government, Delhi's ruling party tweeted that they received a notice from "Modi Govt's favourite agency — Enforcement Directorate".

Chadha slammed the centre and said that BJP couldn't "electorally assassinate" AAP, hence it is trying to "character assassinate" it.

"In an unending quest to persecute the Aam Aadmi Party, Modi government's favourite agency has been pressed into service and has dispatched a love letter to the AAP," he said.

Chadha said that the Modi government is afraid of AAP's rise in Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Gujarat, and called the notice a "love letter" from the central probe agency.

Meanwhile, several opposition parties have accused the BJP-led Centre of using central investigation agencies like the CBI and ED to intimidate and stifle its opponents and critics.

Sharad Pawar, president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), recently claimed that the government is using the ED to "subdue" opposition parties across the country.

"Of late, the (Union) government seems to be using this agency to subdue the opposition. This is happening not only in Maharashtra but also in Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in some southern states too," he had said.
