New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his home state Gujarat for three days from Sunday and plans to launch different projects there worth more than Rs 14,600 crore. He is to address meetings in the state as the state assembly elections are around, PTI reported.

He will land in the state in the evening to inaugurate and lay the foundations for multiple projects of around Rs 3,900 crore in Mehsana district's Modhera village. He will declare the village as India's first 24x7 solar-powered village. Later, he is to visit Modheshwari Mata Temple and Surya Mandhir in the village.

In Modhera, a ground-mounted solar power plant and more than 1,300 rooftop solar systems on residential and government buildings were developed to elevate it to the first 24x7 solar-powered village, a government statement said.

PM's Monday schedule is at Amod in Bharuch district, and there he will initiate projects worth more than Rs 8,000 crore.

He is to inaugurate the Modi Shaikshanik Sankul -- an educational complex for needy students -- in Ahmedabad on the same day. In Jamnagar, he is to open projects worth Rs 1,460 crore, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for the same.

On Tuesday, Modi will address a public meeting at Jamkandorna in Rajkot district. He will lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 1,300 crore at the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad.

According to the statement, Modi will leave for Madhya Pradesh after that. He will visit the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.
