Modi, Shah, Adityanath, even Rahul Gandhi in AAP's 'dishonest' list
text_fieldsNew Delhi: In an election campaign poster released by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of “dishonest” leaders, Rahul Gandhi has also been included with the BJP leaders Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others. This is to be noted when Rahul Gandhi is a major among leaders of the INDIA bloc, which includes AAP, as reported by the Times of India.
Following the release of the poster, an infuriated Congress dared AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to quit the alliance with the INDIA bloc. Congress leader Alka Lamba said that it was Kejriwal who “begged” an alliance with her party during the 2024 general elections.
Lampa, the Congress candidate from Kalkaji, said that if Kejriwal has guts, he should announce that he is leaving the INDIA bloc. Congress party is standing strong with 100 MPs, and it was Kejriwal who gave his party’s seven seats to BJP, she said, adding that Congress made a mistake by forming an alliance with AAP for 7 Delhi seats in the Lok Sabha polls. The alliance cost Congress dearly, she said.
The poster also includes the Congress leaders Sandeep Dikshit and Ajay Maken.
The poster features BJP leaders Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath, Anurag Thakur, Virendra Sachdeva, Parvesh Verma, and Ramesh Bidhuri, along with the three Congress faces. It then proclaims that Kejriwal is “honest”, reading "Kejriwal's honesty will prevail over all the dishonest people.”
According to TOI, Congress’s internal conflicts strained its relationship with its INDIA pal AAP. AAP alleges that Congress has been aiding the BJP by targeting Kejriwal.
