Zeeshan, a minor Muslim boy from Bhojpur, UP, was thrashed by Hindu youths on Friday for refusing to chant Jai Shri Ram, Maktoob media reported. As the boy was returning from his aunt's place in Tohri, he was stopped and brutally thrashed.

"They stopped and tore my clothes. They broke my bike and forced me to chant Jai Shri Ram; when I refused, they started beating me. They had a gun, hit me with an iron nail in his hand and brutally hit me in the back. When the blood started flowing excessively, they ran away, saying let him die now," Zeeshan told in a video statement accessed by Maktoob Media.

Zeeshan further alleged that though he approached the police to file a complaint, the SO asked him to remove the mention of Jai Shri Ram from it. Though the Ghaziabad police have arrested two people in connection with the matter so far, they have denied evidence about the sloganeering.
