Sam D'Souza, missing link between NCB witness Gosavi and SRK's manager in cash deal, says more to reveal
text_fieldsMumbai: Following allegations made by Narcotics Control Bureau witness Prabhakar Sail, a new witness has come forward to give testimony on the case. Sam D'Souza who was named as the 'broker' of the 18 crore deal between the NCB witness Kiran Gosavi and Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani has told national media that he will be recording a statement in the case and that the truth will be revealed.
Sail had alleged that Gosavi demanded Rs 25 crores to help Aryan Khan out of jail in the Cordelia cruise ship drugs case for which Khan had been arrested and sent to jail. He settled for 18 crores, 8 of which would be given to NCB head Sameer Wankhede according to the witness.
"I met Gosavi and I asked him what he wanted. He told me Aryan Khan had been arrested and he wanted to speak to SRK's manager. I said I don't have her contact, I will try. I couldn't get her number," Mr D'Souza told NDTV, referring to a conversation on October 3, hours after Aryan Khan and others were detained following the drugs raid on a cruise ship. He said he had no inkling of any money being demanded.
"Gosavi came again and told me no drugs had been found on Aryan Khan and we can help him. Then I somehow got (Pooja Dadlani's) number. and got them to talk. I was present at the face-to-face meeting between Gosavi and Pooja Dadlani. Gosavi claimed he was an investigating officer. I did not know him so I believed him and called him 'sir'. Gosavi said a lot of things that were not true. He had even saved his bodyguard Prabhakar Sail's number as Sameer Wankhede (SW 2) to mislead us. He had an NCB sticker on his car as well. They tried to impersonate him," D'Souza said.
National Congress party leader Sunil Patil, was accused of being one of the masterminds behind the entire drugs bust by BJP leader Mohit Kamboji, which Patil denies. D'Souza however claimed that Patil, Sail and Gosavi were all frauds, the truth of which would come out soon. Patil claims to have been the one who passed D'Souza's number to Gosavi before realising Gosavi was a fraud and then recovering the money on behalf of Shah Rukh Khan's manager.
D'Souza has alleged threats to his life have been made and has requested protection from the Maharashtra police.
