Bengaluru: A man was seen throwing Rs 10 currency notes from the top of the K R Market flyover in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning. Police have identified a man named Arun, a former kabaddi player, and questioned him.

In the viral video, it was seen that a man wearing a black blazer was throwing hundreds of notes and people were seen rushing to pick them up. The act caused a traffic commotion in the area for a while. The police visited Arun's house. He was issued a notice for an offence leading to public nuisance.

He did not reveal the motive behind the action. The notes thrown were of a total worth of Rs 3000. According to his Facebook profile, he is the "Founder and CEO of V Dot 9 Events India Pvt. Ltd".

The police think it was a publicity stunt and he might be charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 283 B for obstruction of public movement.

He told TV9 Kannada that he is mentally unstable and needs time to explain his actions. "I did not throw the money with any bad intentions. Even though I am educated. I did not do this for social media. Please give me some time, I will explain why I did it."
