Madrasa students are agents of ISI: UP Minister
text_fieldsUttar Pradesh Minister of State Raghuraj Singh on Thursday said that madrasas are hideouts of terrorists. Singh was talking to reporters.
Terrorists are trained in madrasas. If given a chance, I would shut down the madrasas across the country, he said. A person coming out of the madrasa becomes a terrorist, he offered by way of explanation.
If the face of terrorism has to be trampled and the 'snake' eliminated, then "we will crush terrorism just as the hood of the snake is crushed", he said.
While earlier there were only 250 madrasas in UP, now there are over 22,000, he claims. "All the people studying in the madrasa are agents of ISI," he added.
The Minister further alleged that Islamism is being run in the southern state of Kerala. Hindu daughters are being tortured there, he alleged. This is because of the communist government there, he added.
The government must destroy madrasas to eliminate terrorism in the country, he said. He also requested the government to dissolve the Kerala government and impose President's rule in the state.
