New Delhi: A 22-year-old woman was found lying in a pool of blood on the terrace of a house in Majnu Ka Tilla in North Delhi on Tuesday morning.

The woman identified as Manish Chhetri, a resident of Safdarganj, was allegedly stabbed to death after a fight that broke out at a party the previous night.

Another woman, Sapna, 36, told the police that she was on the terrace of the building. Manisha had attended the party at Sapna’s house. A man and two other women were also present.

A sudden altercation led to Manisha’s stabbing at the party, police said. Sapna informed the cops about the incident this morning.

The accused has been identified and will be arrested soon, they said, adding that they have lodged a murder case. Forensic investigators and Delhi Police are at the crime scene, news agency ANI reported.

The victim and the accused used to work for various event management companies. Further details of the investigation are awaited.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday hit out at Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena after the news broke out. Urging the Governor to “do something”, Kejriwal said that the law and order in Delhi has “completely broken down”.

“What is happening in our Delhi? The law and order situation has completely broken down. There is jungle rule all around. LG Sahib, do something…,” Kejriwal wrote on Twitter in Hindi.
