Yediyurappa said that the unrest in society has become a norm now due to the act of a few miscreants and legal action will be initiated against miscreants to ward off further untoward incidents. He also advised people to engage in their business without falling to agendas that create unrest in society.
Yediyurappa said tht when he was the CM, he had warned Hindu groups of initiating legal action if they targeted the Muslim community during the first wave of the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bommai said that the state government will take whatever constitutionally available means are requiredto maintain law and order.
"Ours is a constitutionally elected government. We are working by keeping law and order maintenance and equality as a benchmark," Bommai said.
He further stated that if people campaign with their ideologies, there is no problem. However, if they take law into their hands or turn violent, the government cannot tolerate it. "A message has already been sent in this direction," Bommai stated.
